This Body of Christ welcomes you to The First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Russellville, a community called to discipleship and empowered by the Holy Spirit to glorify God as we learn, teach, and witness through service, love, forgiveness, prayer, and fellowship with others as the feet and hands of our Lord Jesus in the world.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT OUR CHURCH
Our members dress casually from shorts to overalls and in between.
Our denomination was founded with a "moderate" theology. We follow the truth and principles of the Bible as we interpret it. We insist that no one judge others, lest we be judged, and you'll find liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, in our congregation who enjoy worshiping with each other.
Sermons are almost always 20-25 minutes and our minister tries to teach Biblical truths
often in an interesting or humorous way.
We usually sing three hymns and one more contemporary song.
You can expect to be welcomed and greeted warmly and sincerely by several people!
